Good foods for 3 major nutrients
During the preparation for Mr. HUFS, I needed to not only work out 5 days a week but also be on a diet 24/7. This was the 2nd time I participated in the competition, and after this I got to know about foods and nutrients. There are 3 major nutrients – Carbohydrate, Protein, and fat. We can ingest these consuming any kinds of foods, but this time I'd like to recommend what foods are good for the 3 nutrients.
First - for carbohydrate, take sweet potato, whole grain food, or fruits. Carbohydrates are transformed into energy that our body can use most easily. However, if you eat foods that are digested too fast such as white potato, white rice, sugar-contained food or sweet beverage, the energy is generated at very high speed that your body cannot use it fully. Then the extra energy turns into extra fat, which you don't want to have. So I suggest you eat long-lasting and slowly digested foods, which I mentioned above.
Second - for protein, take turkey, chicken breast, or milk. Proteins are the main components of our body, and also can generate energy. But if you eat meats with too much fat, the protein in the food will not be ingested comparing to the one in less fat. And also I recommend you to take protein-contained foods with vegetables or fruits, since they help digesting in your intestines for the vitamin they include.
Third - for fat, take nuts, fish, or vegetable oils. Fats are also one of the nutrients our body should have, when most people don't recognize this for their diet. Fats alleviate physical damages, help rejuvenation, and maintain body heat. Despite these advantages, you should be careful when taking fat containing foods since it can produce much more energy than carbohydrate and protein. Try to avoid animal fat and transfat. These two will be stacked in our body and can cause high blood pressure when the three up top can clean our blood vessels and help our hormone system work.
We need to take these 3 nutrients every day, but still we should be careful of the amount and percentage of each. Carbohydrates should take up the most percentage, then protein and fat follows. But please keep in mind that you'd rather eat the right food for your health. Your body will get to have the same nutrients but will react differently. Now, let your engine have better oil!
Since it is based on your experience, it was very interesting and easy to understand. You gave specific examples for each nutrient , and they make me understand your writing more easily. I also think that you explained well about what each nutrient do for our body. I also liked that you used metaphor, comparing our body to engine and nutrients to oil!

This was the 2nd time I participated in the competition, and after this I could gain more knowledge about foods and nutrients. There are 3 major nutrients – carbohydrate, protein, and fat. These can be ingested consuming any kinds of foods, but they’re not always same. So, this time, I'd like to recommend what foods are good for the 3 nutrients.
First - for carbohydrate, take sweet potatoes, whole grain foods, or fruits. Carbohydrates are the source of energy that our body can use most easily. However, if you eat foods that are digested too fast such as white potatoes, white rice, sugar-contained foods or sweet beverages, the energy from them is generated too fast for our body to use it fully. Then, the extra energy can possibly turn into extra fat, which will give you extra body fat you don’t want to have. So I suggest you eat slowly digested foods which I mentioned above.
Second - for protein, take turkey, chicken breast, or milk. Proteins are the main components of our body, and also can generate energy. But if you eat meats with too much fat, the protein in the foods will be ingested less comparing to the ones with less fat, since animal fat adversely affects your blood circulation. Therefore I recommend you to eat meats with vegetables or fruits, since they clean blood vessels and help digesting in your intestines for the vitamins they include.
Third - for fat, take nuts, fish, or vegetable oils. Fats are also one of the nutrients our body should have, when most people don't recognize this for their diet. Despite these advantages, you should be careful when taking fat containing foods since it can produce much more energy than carbohydrate and protein. Try to avoid animal fat and transfat. These two will be stacked in our body and can cause high blood pressure. In contrast, the three foods up top can get rid of harmful fat from our blood vessels and help our hormone system work better.
We need to take these 3 nutrients every day, but still we should be careful of the amount and percentage of each. Carbohydrates should take up the most percentage, then protein and fat follows. But please keep in mind that it’s better to eat healthier food to take these nutrients. Then your body will get to have the same nutrients but will react differently. From now on, let your engine have better oil!
