Most of modern people including you have an unhealthy eating habits. Since improved technologies and transportations, we can gain foods what we want anytime. To keep our health, we need to learn nutritions of food to change eating habit by taking it efficiently. So what kind of ingredients is included in foods?
Carbohydrate is main energy source of animals, and we already know it as sugar. It is essential for human to breathe, walk and live. Most foods include carbohydrates, but fruits and grains have it a lot. Researchers are considering it as good food because it includes not only carbohydrates but also other nutritions such as vitamins and fiber. But carbohydrate also has a side-effect, which cause diabetes or obesity when one intakes it excessively, we have to take care of eating processed foods. One of typical examples is soft drink. It includes too many sugars but little other nutrients, so it may cause excessive caloric intake.
Protein, constituted by amino acids, is a matter what makes our body. Like a chicken breast which is considered as a symbol of high-protein food, people can get it in most fleshes and meats. One of the reasons why we have to intake it is because of existence of "essential amino acids". It is nutritions that people cannot make it by themselves, and most of animal proteins are good sources to supply it. Of course, there are vegetable proteins, symbolized as beans, but its amount is less than animal proteins. Moreover, some vegetables don`t include some kind of essential amino acids. It lowers people`s blood pressure and helps to maintain health. Next one is unsaturated fatty acid. It is a nutrition which prevents cardiovascular decease, and it is included in olive and fish oils. Whereas the good fats, saturated fatty acid is bad nutritions which can cause Hyperlipidemia, a decease blocking blood vessels by cholesterol. Most of processed foods such as snacks and ramen have it a lot. So we need to intake good fats properly.

Researchers are considering it as good food because it includes not only carbohydrates but also other nutritions such as vitamins and fiber - in this sentence you should change the world 'it' into 'them' if you refer to fruits. Or else it should refer to carborhydrate, which is not a food.
ReplyDeleteThe most important fact is that we need to intake all of it equally - It's neither fact nor makes sense. Carborhydrates should take up the most percentage of everyday diet and protein and fat follows. So the word 'equally' should be changed into another one.
Overall I liked your essay, you gave information on nutritional facts of foods, but what I didn't like is that your title is about helping eating healthy foods, and you suddenly explains about what ingredients are in certain foods.
