VOTE BRINGS CHANGE?
Everyday people look around and complain about the bad life conditions, lack of happiness…and the reason of those problems are not people by themselves, as they say, but the government. The government was established in order to protect the citizens and provide people with good life conditions. But it seems that citizens forgot that the government is selected from the citizens and by the citizens. Here we can clearly see, that everyone has to take participation in votes and play a role of the push leverage on the government. But why people do not consider the situation from another corner, because it looks like the one side thinking and if we look and think deeper the occurrence of the question "Does it really work, if we vote?" is unavoidable. The voting should not be mandatory by the reasons of the lack of the self interest in politics or government, the lack of the influential power, the lack of the believe in the change.
The votes are carried out not always on the weekend, because the schedule is set up by the government. The most individuals are more interested in the earning money or doing their own business instead of wasting time on the voting. The most workers are interested in their jobs. For instance, if I am a worker of the company my head is busy about improving my skills, what I have to do in order to be promoted and being able to earn more for feeding my family and myself. The most individuals do not observe the things too far, they should do, because the most people look at their company or factory as a source of the possibility to get money, but they do not consider the government as a source of earnings. Especially if the company is a foreign company. We do not usually consider the logical chain that the company can affected by the governmental policy. Therefore we are not interested too much what the government is going to do, but people are quite interested what their "source of the earnings" is planning to do. So by that reason is should not be mandatory.
The lack of the influential power plays a big role. Usually every ordinary individual asks him or herself how can my voice affect the "high elites" who will be doing whatever they want by pursuing their own interest. It is better to focus on things I can affect and see the result instead of wasting time on the things which possibly will not be affected. The lack of the power means two things: the lack of the voice and information within the elites and the lack of the money, skills, knowledge or other resources. Because from my point of view the government servants like a brilliant guy who is much more qualified and well informed than ordinary people who are like a guy who has difficulties in catching up and lack of the talent to be enough skilled. Therefore brilliant guy in most cases will not listen to the things that a less brilliant guy would say and the brilliant guy will always try to make less brilliant guy think and do things the way a brilliant guy wants. Here we can observe that the lack of the influential power can lead us to the next reason, why voting should not be mandatory.
The last reason is the lack of the believe in the change. Even today we can clearly see that the level of the voters is has drastically decreased, because there is no believe in the change. Despite the voters' asks to change something, government always pursues the priorities, like to become a leading country on the international arena, get respect from the more powerful state, than from its own citizens and so on, and by considering all these, people loss their believe in the change and come back to the first reason which is the lack of the self interest; each individual would like to concentrate on the reality, on this moment on his or her own business instead of wasting time on researching which candidate would be better for me and for the rest of the country.
So we have discussed only three reasons why the vote should not be the mandatory. They are lack of the self interest, lack of the influential power, lack of the believe in the change. All of them are closely interconnected and play a big role as a reason that voting should be a volunteer thing. If the government wants to do it mandatory, their priority should be considering the minds of their citizens and stop their "show".
